Medicaid Update
Effective January 1, 2025, the neuropsychologists at Fort Wayne Neuropsychology will no longer be in-network providers for Indiana Medicaid or the Indiana Medicaid MCO plans.
It is with a heavy heart that we share this news, and we want you to know that the decision was made after considerable thought, discussion, and attempts at problem solving. Unfortunately, our experience with Medicaid has been met with challenges. We have had increasing difficulty obtaining insurance authorization for neuropsychological testing and over time we have devoted an enormous amount of time, staff and resources to this one insurance carrier. It is no longer feasible or sustainable for us to continue as it has made it difficult for us to meet the needs of our patients.

Fortunately, our counseling and speech therapy providers (Peggy Jones and Cindy Shepherd) will remain in-network and will be able to provide their respective services to patients who have Medicaid insurance.

Continuing our relationship with our existing neuropsychology patients has been one of our biggest concerns with this transition. In an effort to keep our services attainable, we will have a reduced rate fee schedule for neuropsychological services for any Medicaid-eligible patients that were initially seen prior to January 1, 2025. This fee schedule will offer a greater discount than the typical 10-20% discount that is offered for self-pay patients. Our hope is that we will be able to continue our relationship with our existing patients and continue to be a part of their care team. We understand that this offer may not be feasible for all. If you need to find a provider who accepts Medicaid, we suggest contacting Bowen Center (260-471-3500) or Parkview Behavioral Health Institute – Park Center (260- 481-2700).
